Privacy Policy — Hit the Zombies

Last updated: 20 August 2026

The short version

Hit the Zombies collects nothing about you.

The game has no accounts, no advertising, no analytics, and no way to contact the internet. It does not know who you are, and neither do we. Your game progress is saved on your own device and never leaves it.

That is the entire policy. The rest of this page explains it in more detail, because “we collect nothing” is a claim worth backing up.

What the game stores on your device

The game saves your progress so it can still be there next time you play. This lives in your device’s normal app storage, and includes:

This information stays on your device. It is not sent anywhere, it is not backed up to any server we run, and we cannot see it. We have no way to read it, because there is nothing for it to be sent to.

It is also not linked to you. It contains no name, no email address, no account, and no device identifier — just the state of a game of whack-a-mole.

What the game does not do

To be specific, Hit the Zombies contains no code that:

Earlier versions of this game, released between 2011 and 2013, did include some of these — in-app purchases, Game Center leaderboards, social sharing and analytics. All of it has been removed. The current version links none of those frameworks and makes no network requests at all.

Third parties

There are none. The game bundles no third-party analytics, advertising or tracking software of any kind, so there is no one for us to share data with even in principle.

Deleting your data

Deleting the app from your device deletes everything it has saved, including all your progress. There is no copy anywhere else, and nothing to request or erase from us.

Children

The game is suitable for children and collects no personal information from anyone, regardless of age. Because nothing is collected, transmitted or shared, there is no children’s data for us to handle.

Your rights

Privacy laws such as the GDPR and the CCPA give you rights to access, correct, export or delete personal information a company holds about you.

We hold no personal information about you, so there is nothing to access, correct, export or delete. If you would like to confirm this, or have any question about it, the contact address is below.

What Apple collects

This policy covers the game only. Apple collects its own information when you download or update an app from the App Store — things like download counts and, if you have chosen to share them, crash reports and analytics. That is Apple’s collection, governed by Apple’s Privacy Policy, and it happens whether or not the app itself collects anything. We may see anonymous, aggregated sales and crash statistics through App Store Connect; these are not linked to individual users, and we cannot use them to identify anyone.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted here and the date at the top will change. Since the game collects nothing, any future change would most likely be a clarification rather than a new practice — and if that ever stopped being true, it would be stated here plainly and prominently.
